Our Process

We believe the achieving sobriety is a journey and not a sprint. Thus, we have instituted a three month program that every resident goes through to assist them with their sobriety. We perform additional steps with our residents to enhance their current 12 step work. These complementary requirements center around our core values of honesty, trust, accountability, and commitment. In addition to written questions on various topics on each value, we have a bi- weekly counselling session with each resident to check in with them, receive, and provide feedback for their sober journey.

Honesty:

First, let us be honest with ourselves and others. We need to acknowledge to our actions and the consequences of these actions. Things we will be focusing on this area are the following:

  • Denial of addiction

  • Forgiveness

  • Confessing our mistakes

  • Making amends

Truth:

Admitting and understanding that our higher power is the source of all truth. Things we will be focusing on this area are the following:

  • Understanding and admitting we are powerless over our addition

  • Finding our higher power

  • Working to surrender to our higher power

Accountability:

Understanding and accepting that we cannot stay sober on our own and we need help. Things we will be focusing on this area are the following:

  • Finding a sponsor

  • Attending meetings

  • Attending bi-weekly counselling sessions

  • Checking in and out daily with the house manager

Commitment:

Being committed to becoming sober. Understanding that it is a journey and not a sprint, it is a daily process. Things we will be focusing on this area are the following:

  • Setting goals

  • Establishing a daily routine
